Slow and Steady

Ok, the server's back up and Jason is slowly getting sites back up and running. A lot of work is involved and he's checking things out to look for wholes in the code. Hopefully we can avoid another hack from happening.

Darknest will be up when it's up and I'll be sure to post it there, but be happy knowing we have control over the server again and Jason and I will be looking at a much better place to house the server that's much closer to him.

hey ack just curious but for each week that dta is down does that mean 2-3 more updates for members? Just wondering cause seeing that your having to wait for jason would give time to draw the updates. =D

How slow and steady? 1 day or 1 week?

Well, here's hoping it's not a week. But it all depends on Jason's work schedule. Really he's the only one that can do anything with it.

One man for a big job.

As for DtB.ca, I'll be putting up a notice soon enough about additional updates.

Oy... hacking is getting out of hand these days... are there really that many people lacking any kind of life or motivation that they have to sink so low as to harrass and annoy others? Good lord... as if my faith in humanity as a whole wasn't low enough as it is.

I get the feeling that this hacker looks down upon erotic art and whatnot, probably a kid looking to do something "Cool".

Anyhow, I hope there isn't much loss of data as a result of it. And screw that company that wouldn't help at all!

Grrr I've been going crazy without my DN. I don't know how much longer i can wait. Its not like i have a choice though.

There was another hacking attempt after DN left the old company? Either way, take the time that's needed Jason. As long as DN is up and running safely, I don't care how long it takes.

i doubt if its a hacker hes doing it cause he doesnt like erotic art, hes probably doing it for the lulz. like most hackers do

actually, real hackers never cause any damage after they gain entry to a computer. They do it because they wanna see if they're good enough to get through the security. Unfortunately, crackers are bastards who just wanna cause as much damage as possible, and they give honest hackers a bad name in the process...

Congrats on the recovery, we'll wait patiently (anxiously?) for DN's return. Best of luck!

Hmm, i wonder what naughty secrets Ackanime is hiding. Maybe you got a beast inside of you? Could it by any chance be a druid?

You up for a bumpy ride?

There's no such thing as slow and steady in my vocabulary. I just wanna hear the lovely purrs while i make my entry.

@Mageanna
Welcome to the internet, we do it for teh lulz. Most of us have jobs, are either in college or graduated, and like porn like the rest of the world.

Hackers aren't the lowlifes Faux News makes them out to be, there probably one of the most powerful forces in the world in our life time. I've seen people get social security numbers through a simple picture and first name. Don't underestimate.

Glad to see everything is working out slowly but surely. I know a lot of time and effort is needed to get stuff back up and running, plus balancing out IRL stuff too. Very stressful. Jason, you're doing wonderful. :3

Also suggestion, you should put darknest on twitter. ^^

@anonymous hacker: No, hackers are still lowlifes, whether they have fancy jobs and educations or not. Glad you get "teh lulz" out of being an ass on the internet, though.

read previous posts to see the difference between a hacker and a cracker, and why your comment is wrong. anyway, good to know that things are moving forward, it'll be good to have our RPs back :)

The front page isn't working but the forums are back up now.

I think he's confusing "Low lifes" With "douchebags" or "assholes" or "bullies" or "trolls" or "meanie meanie poopy heads".
